Who am I?

Hello everyone!

My name is Katelyn and I am a graduate of Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire. I have a Bachelor of Art in Biology (cue the “ewwww biology”, but I loved every second of it!) with minors in Environmental Studies and Sustainability.

I started this blog in the June of 2018 as an outlet to share my educational and professional journey, aspirations, and personal interests.

My biggest passion in life is keeping the Earth’s environment and all that lives in it happy and healthy. After all, there is no Planet B. The Earth has taken care of us all these years and it’s about time we return the favor. After I graduate in May of 2020 I hope to use my degree to further my passion into a career in wildlife or environmental conservation.

In my free time I love to engage in activities that keep me in nature because outdoors is where I have the most fun and feel the most at peace with myself. I love to hike, garden and grow plants, go camping, and just explore nature as much as I can with my dog Duke. I also enjoy traveling, hammocking with a good book, and just trying to deepen my understanding of the world.

I am also a firm believer that the key to a healthy and happy soul is to spend your time in nature where your soul can be free.

Thanks for stopping by!

“Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance. Look at the flowers — for no reason. It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are.”
